was born and raised in the Baku, Azerbaijan. She studied painting and drawing from an early age and taught art at an elementary school. She attended classes at The Art Students League of New York, where artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Mark Rothko, among many others studied and taught art.
She has been a proud member of ASL for four years where her work began to draw attention from New York’s cutting-edge artists. Her paintings can be seen as a permanent collection in high-end buildings in New York City, Palm Beach, France and Israel.
Now Ilona is a proud member of Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, FL
She is currently living and working in her studio in South Florida.
