was born and raised in the Baku, Azerbaijan. She studied painting and drawing from an early age and taught art at an elementary school. She attended classes at The Art Students League of New York, where artists such as Jackson Pollock, Cy Twombly, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol, among many others studied and taught art.
She has been a proud member of ASL for four years where her work began to draw attention from New York’s cutting-edge artists. Her paintings can be seen as a permanent collection in high-end buildings in New York City, such as 237 Park Avenue.

Ilona Avart is currently living and working in her studio in South Florida.
